Bluescope was approached to develop a website for St. Mary’s National School, Croom, in December 2018. Although CroomNS.ie was already being operated by members of St. Mary’s National School, the website structure showed limited capabilities for the ever-increasing content that needed to be uploaded.
To ensure that users of the Croom NS website could still find the information they were looking for, Bluescope got to work on developing a website, built on WordPress CMS, that would display all necessary components, new and old, in a clear format.
St. Mary’s National School is a co-ed Catholic primary school, based in Croom, Co. Limerick, where the staff are committed to the overall development of each individual pupil.
As Croom NS was already using the WordPress platform to display content across the website, Bluescope was able to migrate this data to a new staging website where it could be cleaned up and organised into a cleaner site structure. Bluescope worked closely with St. Mary’s National School to develop this new website and its components.
The new Croom NS website now contains a fully functioning Events calendar which displays the school timetable of events, holidays, etc. The website also includes a Parents Corner which is designated to the parents of children who attend St. Mary’s National School. Parents can visit this section to stay up to date with the latest news and events at the school. The functionality for parents who wish to contribute to the posts on the website and Parents Corner has also been added.
Most of the previous menu items in the main navigation have been condensed into one mega-menu which display all relevant webpages to users, categorised accordingly under their own headings. And it is now easier than ever to post Blog posts on the website as well as upload images to their media gallery.
Bluescope began website development in January 2019 and the website was completed in May 2019.
