Bluescope was approached by Parkes Properties in July 2018 to design and develop a new website for their business. Parkes Properties had previously operated a website for many years but unfortunately it had become outdated, meaning that it was not mobile-friendly and it was no longer maintained which lead to broken links across the website.
Parkes Properties are Ireland’s leading Property Development and Capital Investment Groups with 60 years of experience in the development industry. They have built a reputation for design, planning, and building high-specification developments tailored to market demands.
As the existing website was solely a homepage due to broken links, Bluescope developed an ‘offline’ page for Parkes Properties which was to show all basic information about who Parkes Properties was and how to contact them while the website was in development. Once this was set up and running, Bluescope got to work on creating a mobile-responsive website built on the CMS, Joomla.
With no prior analytical software installed on the existing website, Bluescope installed Google Analytics to monitor the traffic to the website while offline and to compare against results when the site went live.
This website was to clearly outline who Parkes Properties was, what they do, and to showcase the many fantastic property developments they have completed throughout the years. To showcase this, Bluescope made sure to keep the website clear and concise by including six menu items in the main navigation, two of these including ‘Home’ and ‘Contact’. All pages could be accessible via one-click. The latest projects and the latest news are promoted on the website for even further ease-of-access and each have their own respective pages.
As the website was displaying an offline/maintenance page while in development, Bluescope simply switched the site to live in the back end when the site was complete ,which meant no disruption to the website itself and it was a seamless transition to the new site.
Bluescope began website development in mid-July 2018 and the website was completed at the beginning of May 2019.
