Bluescope was approached by Conroy’s Curtains to discuss a website redesign project for their website, conroyscurtains.ie. Their existing website was built on Joomla back in 2016. Joomla, although it includes a lot of functionality, it unfortunately is not as user-friendly as WordPress can be.
It is recommended that a business performs a website revamp every 2 – 3 years to keep content and design fresh. Which is why it was a great time to give Conroy’s Curtains a revamp.
Conroy’s Curtains is a leading window furnishings manufacturer who offer a bespoke curtain, blind, upholstery and soft furnishing service. They also offer fantastic Interior Design services.
Throughout development, their existing website remained live while we developed their new website in a staging environment. We were able to migrate all content that was previously on their Joomla site onto their new WordPress staging site. We worked closely with Conroy’s Curtains to brainstorm how this new website could improve on the old. With so many fantastic services offered from Conroy’s Curtains, we decided it would be in the best interest to create a page for each service. Not only would users be able to easily browse the wide range of services offered from their website, but Google (and other Search Engines alike) would be able to scan the website and offer the best results to users searching for these services.
To add to these many new pages on the website, we thought it best to create custom forms for each service section. By doing this, potential customers can easily fill out a short and customised form, where submissions will be sent directly to Conroy’s Curtains, to find out more information about a particular service.
The newly redesigned site replaced the old site with minimal disruption and has been running smoothly since its launch in December 2020.
