Bluescope was approached by Bikram Yoga Limerick in June 2020 to discuss the redesign and development of bikramyogalimerick.ie. The goal of the new website was to promote Bikram Yoga Limerick’s class offerings with the functionality of customers being able to book in and pay for upcoming classes online. The new website was to be user-friendly for both customers and admins, as well as accessible on all devices.
As the existing site was built on Joomla CMS, Bluescope created a WordPress staging environment and began manually migrating content from the existing site to what would be the new website.
Bikram Yoga Limerick offer a range of fantastic Bikram Yoga classes, situated in Delta Sports Dome, Limerick. A Bikram Yoga class comprises a series of twenty-six postures and two breathing exercises, performed in a room heated to 40°c.
Over the course of two weeks, the existing website remained live while we developed the new website in a staging environment. The new website was built with an integrated Booking System that would enable customers to browse from a range of classes offered, choose a date and time from a timetable that would suit them best, and book/pay for the class online. Furthermore, customers had the option to purchase ‘Class Packs’ from the website’s shop. These Class Packs consisted of a set number of Classes that could be used against any of the upcoming classes offered through the booking system.
Before switching over to the new site, we ensured that all best practice SEO methods were in place, including necessary 301 redirects. Without these in place, Search Engines such as Google would not know which pages to send their customers. The new site replaced the old site with minimal disruption and has been running smoothly since its launch in mid-July 2020.
Bluescope began website development at the beginning of July 2020 and the website was completed mid-July 2020.
