At Bluescope Technologies, we believe in standing behind the causes that matter to our community — and this year we were proud to return as sponsor of Peter O’Rourke’s Great Limerick Run effort in aid of Arthritis Ireland.
Peter once again laced up for the Great Limerick Run on Sunday, 3rd May 2026, running alongside family and friends in memory of his late mother, Mary O’Rourke. Mary lived with Rheumatoid Arthritis for more than 15 years before passing away in 2022, after contracting COVID-19 with an immune system weakened by years of treatment. The annual run continues to honour her memory while raising funds and awareness for the many people across Ireland living with arthritis.
This year’s team took to the streets in a brand-new jersey carrying the Bluescope logo on the front — a refreshed look for a cause close to our hearts. Seeing our colours move through the city alongside such a determined group was something the whole team here is genuinely proud of.
A huge thank you to Peter, the O’Rourke family, and everyone who ran, cheered, donated, or shared the campaign. The Run for Mary fundraiser remains open, and every contribution goes directly to Arthritis Ireland’s work supporting people living with the condition.
