Mayflower

Bluescope was approached by Mayflower in late March 2017 to discuss the development of a website for their business. Mayflower did not previously operate a website prior to this discussion, however, they did utilise various online and offline mediums to promote their business, such as social medium platforms.

Mayflower is a 100% Irish owned company based in Limerick city and their main objective is to manufacture a high-quality range of powdered and frozen sauces at a very competitive price. They supply to retail outlets nationwide and their curry sauce is now a well-known favourite with consumers all across Ireland.

This website was designed with the purpose of increasing brand awareness and to act as a platform to showcase their products to large supermarket chains. To achieve this, the Mayflower website was built using captivating imagery of their range of products and includes detailed information on each product, including nutritional information and where each product can be purchased.

As Mayflower now have a fully functioning website, they can utilise various advertising mediums and social media platforms even further to direct users to specific landing pages on their new website to gain even more leads and increase brand awareness.

Bluescope began website development in April 2017 and the website was completed in early May 2017.

In the few months after the website had been completed, Mayflower began to see a trend in the success of online selling. They wanted to enquire how difficult it would be to implement e-commerce into their website.

Although e-commerce websites are normally built with this functionality from the beginning, we accepted the challenge and got to work right away.

We worked on implementing a new online shop in the back-end as the site was already live and did not wish to cause any disruption. Within a few weeks Mayflower had a fully functional shop to sell their goods online.

The move to e-commerce has proven to be of great success to Mayflower with orders coming in regularly.
