At Bluescope Technologies, we’re always glad to support meaningful local causes. Most recently, we were proud to sponsor a participant in this year’s Great Limerick Run—Peter O’Rourke, who took part to raise funds for Arthritis Ireland in honour of his late mother, Mary O’Rourke.
Mary sadly passed away in 2022 after contracting COVID-19. Her immune system had been severely compromised due to many years of treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis, a condition she lived with for over 15 years. To honour her memory and raise funds for those affected by arthritis in Ireland, Peter ran the Great Limerick Run on Sunday May 4th 2025, alongside friends and family.
We were delighted to be their main sponsor this year, with our logo proudly featured on the front of each t-shirt worn on the day. So far, the fundraiser has raised over €6,000 for Arthritis Ireland—a fantastic achievement by all involved.
We’re truly grateful to have played a small part in such a meaningful cause, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to Peter and everyone who took part in honouring Mary’s memory and raising awareness and support for those living with arthritis in Ireland.
