St. Michael’s DCC

Bluescope was contacted by St. Michael’s DCC in November 2023 to discuss a new website development project for their senior citizen centre in Cappamore. At the time, St. Michael’s DCC did not have an online presence, therefore, this new website would act as the starting point of their online journey.

Located right in the centre of Cappamore, St Michael’s provides a hub of activity with members coming from all over East Limerick to catch up with friends and neighbours and share some banter in their home away from home.

We collaborated with St. Michael’s DCC to determine which colour scheme, layout, and design were to be used. St. Michael’s DCC ran a competition in-house to develop their new logo – which turned out fantastic. The website’s colour schemes were determined to be muted colours of the logo to give a clean and simple design and layout to the website.

Over the course of development, St. Michael’s DCC provided us with the necessary content for the website, this included: a gallery page, a page outlining the services offered, a contact page, and more. We created and integrated Google Analytics with the new website so that the number of visitors to the website could be monitored.

A cookie popup was installed and configured on the new website that outlines the privacy and cookie policy to end-users. Including the increased functionality to switch off Analytics tracking, should a user of the website so wish.

While in development, the website hosted a maintenance page that alerted users that the website would be coming soon. Prior to going live, all best practice SEO methods were implemented to assist the new website entering Search Engine Ranking Pages (SERPs).
